Our mission at the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana is to prevent kidney and urinary tract disease, improve the health and well-being of individuals/families affected by these diseases, as well as increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. Thanks to our gracious donors we are able to offer several free programs that contribute to that mission. These programs include kidney health screenings throughout the state, education and awareness presentations, scholarships, emergency assistance funds for dialysis patients who are struggling with their bills, and Kidney Camp.
This camp offers children with chronic kidney disease the opportunity to spend a week, under the supervision of medical professionals, with other kids who are going through similar struggles. At no cost to the families, these children are able to see that they are not alone and can spend this time just being a kid.
